On June 23rd 2016 at 9:20pm was a bittersweet moment for your three special people. The world welcomed your first Great Grandchild, Onihc Corey Cyle Carter. We knew you were there in spirit but cried because your physical body was not. Mommy you will always live on in our lives and for every milestone we pay tribute to you. you would be so proud of your CJ to see how fine of a young Man and Father he became. Sleep on my Queen until we meet again, I will ALWAYS hold you dear and near in my heart. I love you My Velma Then, now and forever.xoxox.

Happy Mother's Day to my Angel, you will never be forgotten. I lost a large part of Me the day you left me. By God's grace I'm kept but it don't get easier. I miss my Mommy. it's so much I have to tell you but I can't. you were the only person that could kiss my boo boo and make it better. I've experience so many deaths but none of them compare to the feeling of losing your Mother. My Velma I will love you until the day I die and beyond Lord I thank you for giving me the most BEAUTIFUL  ROSE out of your garden.

Every Mother's day I would call you to wish you a wonderful day and to thank you for being such a great mom. I remember on Mother's day we sent you flowers on the plane and you had to go and pick it up that was a disaster that's when we realize never to do that again lol it really didn't make sense. so I just stayed with the calls and just spoil you everyday. I never needed Mother's day to show you how much I love you and appreciate you. I love doing that everyday. And so I'm giving you your annual Mother's day call. Happy Mother's day Mommy I love you and may you RIP. until we meet again for me to kiss you and hold you. xoxoxox

Mona Your Last Birthday December 30, 2011
It was December, 30th, 2007 William, myself, duckie and your rugrats granchildren "all seven of them" decide to treat you to a  birthday dinner at Carmine's. But unfortunately Duckie had to travel so he wasn't there in person but he was definitely there in spirit. we had a little surprise for you, a gift basket with a singing telegram but little did we know we was in for alot of surprises that night. So we sat down to dinner place our food order and of course Willie had to have the 20oz  steak for himself while everyone shared because they serve family style portion sizes. It was wonderful we laughed, talked and stuff ourselves then the first surprise came. It was "LUDACRIS" the rapper like you knew who he is. Then the second surprise came , the one and only "ERVIN MAGIC JOHNSON"  the former basketball palyer for the Lakers. Then surprise number three came, JAMES GANDOLFINI the actor on the movie Sopranos. The fourth surprise was "ROBIN WILLIAMS" the Genie on the movie Aladdin. But then the BIGGEST SURPRISE came and guess what that was a young gentleman came in the resturant holding a gift basket and the waitresses all came out with a cake that read " The world greatest MOM" and that young man stood there and he sang "because you loved me" from Celine Dion. And with tears in your eyes you looked at us and said this was the best birthday present I could've had. The night ended with junkanoo outside in the village. That was a night to remember and I will hold on to that as long as I live because that was last time I told you Happy Birthday. Sleep on Mommy I love you so much. "Happy Birthday."
