It took me all this time to be able to actually sit at watch the slide show. Is so hard loosing someone you love so much.....I have not been able to attend another funeral after my MOMMY passed, until VELMA passed. Whenever i go to a funeral i could never hold it together because it makes me morn all over again.. I know how you feel. THE REAL LOVE OF MY LIFE LEFT ME FOREVER. I am sure that you visit this page often, so hold on to the memories and remember to spend tme with your love ones and always tell them you love them....LOVE TESHA. 

Mona,my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mother.You are constantly in my thoughts because i know how much you love your mother and miss her dearly.But mona you have so many beautiful memories of your mother and when you have those days when you feel as if you can't go on, just allow those memories to carry you through.Love you always and you will always be in my thoughts. 

The prayers and support of my family remain with you during this difficult period. Shemona you displayed an example that many should follow, of how to love and cherish those who are important to you while they are alive. Just live each day, one at a time, until the tears give way to smiles as you sit and reflect on your memories with Velma. Let her legacy live on through all of you, in all that you do.

Everyone gets sad and depressed at the passing of a loved one.  I guess it was what we were taught to do.  I met your mother once and liked her right away.  I Spoke to her over the telephone on a number of occasion after that and knew that she had a good heart.  Lets celebrate the life of a good person knowing that she is in heaven.  Lets laugh and tell the funny stories of events and situations that she brought some clarity and substance to.  lets talk about my crabs that she sent from Andros and someone stole from the boat and all she did was to say bless them and sent me another batch.  talk about how creative she was, making items out of FISH SCALES! FISH SCALES! thats creative.  My crab lady is in heaven now.  Cooking up a big pot of Crab and Dough for Jesus and his boys.  lets Celebrate Ms.Sands hanging out with the saints.

I just wanted to send condolences to the entire family and let you know that my prayers are with you that the Lord will continue to comfort you all and pour His everlasting love on you.  I pray that He will also fill you with His joy and peace and will continue to draw each family member close to Him now and forever more.  Although I didn't know Velma, I've heard many good and positive things about her through my mom, Emily Rahming.  I know she was a wonderful person who's made a positive impact on others for a lifetime. 

 

I leave with you all a favorite text: Psalm 34:17-18 "The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit."  

When I heard of her passing I could not believe it,because the last time I saw her she was so full of life and wore such a radiant smile, My Velma the one who I would always look for whenever I visited South Andros. Heartfelt condolences goes to her family, I would like for you all to know that God only takes the best and she was the BEST AND ALWAYS WILL BE REMEMBERED has a Blessing in my life.

Are we ever ready to say goodbye to the ones we love when their gone and why should we. Shemona one thing God as always promise us in heaven we will meet again and your mom will be  there with open arms. I pray that you and your family stay strong Like your mom the lady that you know her to be.

 

   

"Mons"  What can anyone say at a time like this? My eyes are filled with tears as I write this. I am truly sorry for your loss.My prayers, my thoughts, my heart, go out to you and your family.  Mons you must realize that God's plan for Mom Velma has been done here. For the years that I have worked with you it has always been all about your "MOM". I can just see you now getting so excited telling me about the bags and crafts that Mom Velma had made  to send to Nassau, even sometimes you would show me photos of her hand made crafts. Those bags that I have puchased I will always cherish.She has touched so many lives. I  remember telling Mom Velma one day  that she looked like  my family. You know Mons over the years she really became my family. Only Mom Velma truly knows the Glory of the Heavenly Kingdom as she has been "promoted" to eternal bliss.    " God bless and keep you".

To the family;

 No condolence will fill the void of losing your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend!!

 Be inspired by the beatitudes found in the bible. Sometimes these simple words reassure us of what we already know.  We sometimes forget, in times like these we must remember:

*Blessed is the pure in heart for they will see God.

*Blessed is the peacemaker for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
